THE ART OF INVISIBLE CREATURE
THINGMAKERS
For more than two decades, the world’s biggest brands (and bands) have trusted us to bring their ideas to life. Along the way, we’ve curated a world of our own — creating books, toys, games and beyond. At the core, it’s all driven by the same spark: We love to make things.

Invisible Creature’s playfulness, artistry and taste is unparalleled. I’m a huge fan of what they do and how they do it.

COLORING OUTSIDE THE LINES
Invisible Creature brings bold ideas to life through design, illustration, and storytelling. Whether it’s an iconic album cover, a thought-provoking campaign, or a toy that lives quietly on your shelf, our work is made to endure and inspire.
For over two decades we’ve had the honor of working alongside some of the world’s biggest and most respected brands. Our desire is to help create timeless visuals loaded with intention—and oozing imagination. We believe art is a powerful tool, and one of the most valuable assets we have to offer.
Rooted in curiosity and guided by a lifelong passion for art of all kinds, we continue to embrace the future of IC with excitement and gratitude.

ALL IN THE FAMILY
IT ALL STARTED WITH GRANDPA
Our grandfather, Alfred Paulsen, spent over four decades as an illustrator at NASA, capturing some of the most groundbreaking moments in aerospace history through his art. Long before the days of digital rendering, Alfred’s detailed hand-drawn illustrations helped engineers, astronauts, and the public visualize missions that would one day change the world. His work blended technical precision with creative vision, offering a glimpse into projects that ranged from early satellite launches to space shuttle designs. His steady hand and sharp eye were trusted across generations of NASA’s top minds.
Beyond the technical demands of the job, Alfred’s illustrations carried a spirit of wonder that reflected humanity’s excitement about space exploration. He saw the beauty in complex machinery and the heroism in scientific discovery, and he brought that to life on paper. His legacy lives on not only in the archives of NASA but also in the spirit of curiosity and creativity he passed down to all of us. Alfred Paulsen wasn’t just documenting history — he was helping to inspire the future.

MASTER OF DISCIPLINES
From NASA to the local paper: Various works from Grandpa's archive.
Few people are as wildly talented as they are deeply engaging, but the team at Invisible Creature is right at the top of that list. They don’t just bring your ideas to life- they elevate them beyond what you ever imagined, all while making the process an absolute joy. Working with them isn’t just something you do- it’s something you genuinely look forward to.

The Biggest Story
The Biggest Story suite from Crossway has been one of the most rewarding projects of Don's career. It’s a collection of books, devotionals, curriculum, and activity resources designed for kids—and adults too. Since its release, The Biggest Story Bible Storybook has consistently ranked in Amazon’s Top 500 best-selling books and remains a staple in the Children’s Bible category.

Demon Hunter
When he’s not designing, Ryan is writing, recording, and touring with his band Demon Hunter—a project that has run alongside his entire design career. Since forming in 2002, Demon Hunter has released eleven studio albums, toured four continents, and cultivated a deeply dedicated global fanbase. Ryan’s dual role as both designer and active musician gives him a rare, firsthand perspective on the creative and practical needs of artists. This unique insight informs every project he takes on, allowing him to approach album packaging, merchandise, and full campaign rollouts with a deep understanding of what truly connects with both musicians and their audiences.

In every collaboration with IC, I got to witness their rare ability to blend timeless style with contemporary edge—an effortless fusion of artistic originality, meticulous craft, and endless heart. Every single time, I walked away inspired, honestly amazed at how effortlessly cool they made the entire creative process feel.

Do I need an oversized pencil that doubles as a car for a mummy? Absolutely! And so do you. But here’s the catch—just like the wooden blocks of interchangeable robot pieces or the one-of-a-kind custom-printed Christmas dove box set, it’s all limited edition and bound to vanish. Because that’s the magic (and madness) of the Invisible Creatures—the moment you set your sights on owning a piece, poof—it’s gone. Beware the bittersweet genius of the Clark Brothers.

THE BARN YEARS
2014–2024. For ten unforgettable years, we called an old horse barn in Maple Valley, Washington our studio. We transformed it into a space where ideas ran wild and projects came to life—but more than anything, it was a place where we made memories we’ll never forget.
